Hey Ms. Hulsey I will be focusing on the viewpoint of the Odyssey and Cyclopes I will be using book 9 as my guidance . Odysseus introduces himself and begins to tell his story, starting with the moment his men leave Troy. We’ve got almost ten years to cover here. Odyssey starts by describing his home – the island of Ithaka of course – and all of the surrounding islands.Odysseus and his men first come to the land of the Kikonians, where they kill everyone, take plunder, and enslave the women.
Odysseus tries to get his men to go back to sea so they can get home already, but the men are starving and therefore disobedient. When Odysseus and his crew run across a Cyclops’s deserted cave, his men want to steal from there – but Odysseus won’t let them.
Instead, he wants to treat the Cyclops like a human being and play the part of good guests (more on that hospitality thing). So they burn an offering in the monster’s cave and wait for his return.
Not surprisingly, the Cyclops soon returns, driving in his herd of sheep and closing the entrance of the cave behind him with a huge boulder.

I was not finish! Now as I was saying...The Cyclops asks Odysseus where he has landed his ship. Odysseus, quick on his feet, says that they have been shipwrecked by Poseidon The Cyclops, also quick on his feet, bends down, grabs two men, and promptly eats them.
Then he goes to sleep.
Odysseus draws his sword, meaning to kill the Cyclops in his sleep. But he stops when he realizes that they can never escape the cave without the strength of the Cyclops to remove the gigantic rock at the entrance. Foiled again.
So they mill around and wait for the monster to wake up and have breakfast.
The Cyclops wakes in the morning and, yes, has a few of Odysseus’s men for breakfast.
When he leaves to tend his flocks for the day, Odysseus hatches and plots a plan. He has his men carve out a huge wooden pole and sharpen its end in fire.
When the Cyclops returns, Odysseus cunningly offers him wine and tells him that his name is "Nobody."
The Cyclops gets drunk from the wine and passes out.
Time for action. Odysseus and his men drive the sharpened pole straight into the Cyclops’s only eye, blinding him.
The Cyclops makes such a racket in his pain that other Cyclopes gather outside his cave and ask him what is wrong. We hear his name – Polyphemos – for the first time. They ask if any man has tricked him.
Polyphemos yells out to them: "Nobody’s tricked me, Nobody’s ruined me!"
So the others are all, "OK, fine, then stop making a ruckus. Nobody’s ruined us, either" and they go back to their fun times in the pastures.
But first, they reveal the information that Poseidon, god of the sea, is Polyphemos’s father.
Uh-oh.
Odysseus takes a moment to congratulate himself.

Whats Up Mrs. Husley, :D. A man that's stuck in the Cyclop's cave would be very scared and distrubed. He would act up in that manner because of what the Cyclop's is capable of doing and what he has seen him do. A man stuck in the Cyclop's cave would be very happy that Odyssey has arrived . Odyssey seems to be a natural born hero because he knows what to do . Odyssey drunken the Cyclops and then blinded him. That just tells us that the person stuck in the Cyclop's cave should be very grateful for Odyssey.(Resource) Book 9

Dear father ( Posedian), I am furious father. Those men came to my cave ate my sheep and stabbed me in my eye causing me to go blind!!!! That isn't a good feeling to experience because you know I only have one eye. I probably wouldn't be so frustrated and furious if I did have one extra eye. That ole' Odyssey Is a clever and sneaky one but he shouldn't be that hard to find. I will find him and I promise you , he will be eaten by me, The Mighty Cyclop's. PS. You better warn that fool to be on the look out.

Why did Odysseus choose all of us to come with him? I didn't ask to come here. Everyone is fearful for their lives. Cyclops has already eaten four of our men and so far Jove has not made any particular strives to rescue us. I hope Odyssesus' plan works and we can escape the wraths of Cyclops.

Father, I am very angry with Noman! He and his men attacked me in my drunken sleep. He made off with my best ram and several of my goats. I tried to stop him but I missed in my blind anger. Please, Father, make sure Noman pays for what he has done to me. I will be on the lookout for news of what happens to him by your hand.

Father, this is horrible. I am very displeased with these horrible tortuous men! They came in here like they owned this place, without any anything going on in there little heads but the thoughts of hurting me in my drunken sleep. ME of anyone. Do they not know who I am? I tried to fight back, but in my overwhelming anger I missed. In the chaos he hit me in the eye and I went blind! That dumb man is going to pay!

Major Here Reporting For Duty Queen Hulsey (:
I am one of twelve men that has faithfully followed Odysseus to explore this cave on this island. I am afraid that I may not leave this island alive. I have watched this cyclop eat 6 men already. We are trapped in this cave. I am worried that the gods may not be on our side. I feel that Odysseus does not have a cunning plan to make sure we leave alive. I am angry I feel that his arrogance has put us in danger.

Dear Father,
I have been viciously wounded at the hands of Odysseus and his men. They trespassed in my cave. They had no business entering my cave. I punished six of the men by eating them. When I returned from herding my flock of sheep, Odysseus offered me whine. I drank the wine until I was drunk and passed out. He and his men attacked me by stabbing me in my eye with hot stake. He and his men escaped. I can no longer see and Odysseus has made fool of me. He bragged that he had fooled me I pray to the Gods of Mt Olympus to punish him.

Hi! A man stuck in Cyclops's cave would clearly be scared. He would also be saddened at the thought of possible being eaten next. A man stunk in the cave would be grateful to have Odysseus there.

(continued) ... Odysseus is smart & clever so having him there would give a man hope of possible escaping or to not be eaten. Sorry mine is late. We're renovating the house & the Internet was down for a couple days.

Hello :) A man in Cyclops cave could be much fearful. On the first night two men are eaten by the Cyclops. This could make the other men very much afraid and curious of what will happen next. By them being afraid they could be frustrated.Having Odysseus there could make the men feel protected. The men stuck in the cave could appreciate Odysseus for the comfort they're recieving.

Option 1:
Sometimes I wonder why do I even follow my captain on his foolish journeys and antics. He's ignorantly demanding gifts from the Cyclops after invading his home and planning to thieve from him. However, my sorrow for my fallen comrads have deeply shelved my anger in the depths of my inner thoughts. By the hand of Jove, i direly hope Odysseus inherits a masterful plan to escape this wretched hell. (Trapped in Cave)
By the grace of Jove, Odyesseus has done it! Eventhough we are still sadden by our fallen fellow men, we are zealous about our successful escape. Muchmore added to our consolation is the prizes in which we cunningly aquired from the Cyclops. (After Escape)
Will Odysseus ever learn to control his foolhearted pride? He nearly got us put to death with his folly plan to enter the Cyclops' cave, not forgeting he saved us from sure death, but this has certainly rattled my spirits with utter anger. Can't he see that the Cyclops has favor with Poseidon whom may take complete advantage of us being that we are traveling upon his element? I surely desire the assurance that he has a plan to aide us in our current predicament. (On the Ship)

What had we done to be so careless as to walk directly into the mouth of death? Or should it be said that our captain Ulysses was to lead us into it? Either way, I fear for my very life as well as the other's. This beast, this, this wretched monster is eating us two by two and escape is far from reach. Ulysses has no plan yet, and he might as well not have one at all. We're doomed and it is only he to blame. I wish to tell the others on the outside of this cave of our fate, but I am to assume that they already know. Poor fools. Who is to lead them now? Surely not Ulysses, a prideful man who thinks the world will wait on his very order. I am sure to be the next one eaten, so I send prayers that I will not die known as a coward.
